AWESOMETOWN, ENTITY OF

Established 1 March 2008.

§ 1. The inhabitants of the territory embraced within the present limits of Awesometown, as hereinafter defined, or as the same may be hereafter altered or established by law, shall constitute and continue a body politic and corporate, to be known and designated as Awesometown, and as such shall have and may exercise all powers which are now, or may hereafter be, conferred upon or delegated to towns under the Constitution and laws of the Commonwealth of California as fully and as completely as though all such powers were specifically enumerated herein. The territory embraced within the present limits of Awesometown is included and bounded by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at Central Awesometown, Lake Merrit, Oakland, northward to Northern Awesome Island, Oakland, within a 20ft radius of any Taco Truck, various parts of the coastal regions of California, the inside perimeters of any Sushi restaurant deemed "awesome," and extending to any parts or territories thusforth declared "awesome," or made honorary annexes of Awesometown.

§ 2. The administration and government of the town shall be vested in a council composed of two mayors, Quinne Suicide and Dangerrr Doll and a number of councilmen, as needed, all of whom shall be qualified electors of the town. The councilmen shall be elected by the Mayors of the town on an as-deemed-awesome basis. The members of council shall serve as members of the council for terms of unspecified length until either 1) relieved of their Awesome duties by the Mayors and/or 2) willingly resigning from their post.

§ 3. The Mayors in addition to other duties shall be conservators of the Awesome, and shall, unless and until a police justice is appointed as hereinafter provided, have power to issue warrants and summon witnesses; have exclusive original jurisdiction to try cases involving violations of town ordinances, or the collection of town taxes or assessments, or any other form of debts owing to the town; and shall have like powers in the matter of collecting fines and costs imposed by him as are vested by law in the judges of county courts.

§ 4. The town is empowered to acquire, establish, enlarge, maintain and operate such works and systems as the council deems necessary for the purpose of providing an adequate supply of Awesome to consumers within the corporate limits of the town and within such adjacent territory as the council deems it expedient or proper to serve. The town may discontinue serving Awesome to any consumer who defaults in deserving of such service.

§ 5. The town is empowered to regulate the forebearance of Awesome as well as punish in accordance with applicable law violations of The Awesome which harm or encroach upon the general Awesomeness of fellow residents.

§ 6. All ordinances now in force in Awesometown, not inconsistent with this charter shall be and remain in full force and effect until altered, amended or repealed by the council of the town, after the effective date of this act.
