Dig it kids... So while sifting through celebrity gossip on perez i came across The 1900s. This band makes me think of riding in my dad's gold tempo to school listening to Carol King. A seven piece, self-proclaimed psychedelic pop group from Chicago, they make me want to drink beer on a grassy hill and make out or go on a road trip through the mojave with no air conditioning. I've been listening to "When I Say Go" on repeat.
Someday baby, you ain't gonna boogie my mind... Anymore.

I am going to see Scott H Biram tonight in SF. Let's go on back to winter 2006/2007: I was crashing Starr's couch/floor in Hollywood almost every other weekend while Isaac was working in Burbank so I could visit him at Christmas, etc. Starr's roommate Micah said, "Hey, check this shit out..." The rest is history.
Most of his songs are about killing women, beating women, loving women, strangling women, cops, running from cops, god/Jesus, and being run over by an 18-wheeler, which he was (rendering him locked up in a nearly full-body cast during his first live show). Check out a live version of "Wreck My Car" under the cut. The ad-lib at the end is priceless...
You've probably already heard the song "Calabria 2007," it's been all over the radio for awhile now. The 2007 mix finally hit Billboard in 2008, digging up the tragic death of Danish MC Natasja Saad in a car wreck last June, but simultaneously exposing a wider audience to her prior works. WTF is with young female singers dying in strange accidents? Please. Stop.
Anyway my point... here's the awesome "Calabria 2007" video. Check it out:
